Poughkeepsie Journal

The accident occurred about 6:45 a.m. when two tractor-trailers were traveling side by side in the westbound lanes of Interstate-84, near Exit 12, according to state police in East Fishkill. Lanes were closed for about two hours, but traffic continued to flow while police responded to the accident.

No one was injured, no other vehicles were involved and one truck lost only a small amount of clothing that it was hauling, police said. No charges were issued in connection with the accident, although safety violations were issued. No further information was available.

The tractor trailer in the left lane, a tandem with two trailers measuring about 28 feet, came into contact with the truck in the right lane, police said. Each tractor-trailer went off the road, and the one in the left lane jacknifed.
